Removals to the east

Gelderland, Overijssel and Twente — Arnhem, Nijmegen, Zwolle, Enschede and the country either side of the IJssel.

The eastern provinces are quietly the easiest region on the route after Brabant: good roads, generous housing, and towns built with space around them.

The towns

Arnhem, Nijmegen, Zwolle, Deventer, Apeldoorn and the Twente towns. Suburban family housing and modern apartment stock with proper access, plus older centres where the streets narrow and the usual questions about stairs and standing apply.

The Veluwe and the country

Rural properties here have long approaches rather than difficult ones — forest tracks, gravel drives and gates worth photographing at survey so the right vehicle is sent rather than the biggest one.

Routing

From a Channel crossing the east is reached through Brabant; from a North Sea sailing it is a short run inland. Either works, and the decision is made on the collection point and the sailing rather than on habit.

Local detail

the east questions

What is the east like to deliver into?

Straightforward. Towns with good access, generous suburban housing, and roads that are quick once the vehicle is in the country.

Is it near the German border?

Much of Twente is, which occasionally matters for routing rather than for paperwork — the delivery itself is a Dutch one.

What is the housing?

Suburban family housing, a lot of post-war and modern stock, and older centres in Arnhem, Nijmegen, Deventer and Zwolle with the usual narrower streets.

Are rural properties a problem?

Rarely. The Veluwe and the country around it has long approaches rather than difficult ones — a photograph settles the vehicle size.
