UK Netherlands Short Strait crossings or the North Sea ferries — chosen on the load

Full loads to the Netherlands

A dedicated vehicle for your move alone — your dates, the fewest handlings, and one crew from the British front door to the Dutch one.

A full load means the vehicle is yours. Nobody else's goods are on it, nothing waits for a consolidation slot, and the dates are set around your move rather than around a schedule.

What you are actually buying

  • Named dates at both ends rather than a window
  • Two handlings — loaded once, unloaded once
  • One crew travelling with the load
  • Direct routing, so the journey is as short as the crossing allows

Why handlings matter

Damage in this trade does not usually happen on a motorway. It happens during transfers — being moved between vehicles, restacked at a depot, handled by people who did not wrap it. A dedicated vehicle removes that entirely, which is the honest argument for paying more and the one we will make rather than quietly selling you the cheaper option.

The crossing

Short Strait from Dover or Folkestone and up through Belgium on the E40 and E19, or a North Sea sailing from Harwich or Hull straight into the Dutch network. Chosen on the load, the collection point and the sailing schedule — and stated in the quote rather than left vague.

The alternative

For a modest load with a flexible date, a part load is frequently the sensible choice, and we will say so.

Worth asking

Full-load questions

When is a full load right?

A whole household, a firm completion date, or contents you would mind being handled more than twice.

Do we get named dates?

Yes — that is the point of it. Collection and delivery are scheduled rather than fitted around other people's loads.

Is it the same crew at both ends?

On a dedicated vehicle, yes. The people who load your house are the people who unload it.

Can it collect from two addresses?

Yes, where both are on a sensible route. Tell us at survey so the timing is costed properly.

Is it much more expensive than a part load?

It costs more, and how much more depends on volume and distance. For a full household the gap is often smaller than people expect, because a big part load starts occupying most of a vehicle anyway.

Next step

Want the vehicle to yourself?

Tell us the volume and your dates. We will price a dedicated vehicle and a part load side by side.
